Sean Abelarde, consultant of Plante Moran Realpoint, formerly Plante Moran Cresa, has been elected to the board of Leaders for Kids (LFK), an advisory board of the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation.

LFK is comprised of emerging leaders in Southeast Michigan who are passionate about the charitable work being performed by the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation. The foundation’s critical mission is to raise funds for pediatric medical research and education, community benefit programs, and sponsor community events on key issues that advance the health of children. The organization has raised close to $1 million to support important initiatives at Children’s Hospital of Michigan.

As part of LFK, Abelarde will join nearly 25 professionals across Southeast Michigan representing a cross-section of the community, including business, education, media, health services, and community organizations.

“I'm extremely excited and grateful to be a part of the Leaders for Kids family. The LFK board, through its mission to improve children's health and wellness, makes an incredible impact on the lives of so many children and families in our community,” said Abelarde. “I'm looking forward to supporting the Children's Hospital of Michigan and giving back to such a great cause.”

As a real estate consultant for corporate businesses, Abelarde primarily focuses on assisting clients in aligning their corporate real estate strategy through site selection, portfolio management, and tenant representation services.
